Film Malopolska presents the potential of regional filmmaking by showcasing the variety of landscapes, architecture and monuments that are available in its region. By pointing towards the most interesting film locations in the Malopolska Region, the purpose of the app is to not only attract more visitors, but also and specifically film productions. The app also contains information about the film industry in the region and can also serve as a virtual guidebook. Its main target is filmmakers who are looking for film locations (producers, directors, set designers, location managers) as well as potential tourists who are planning to visit the Malopolska Region. The stills and panoramic pictures that are used in the application suggest potential locations and are taken from a location database available at http://www.film-commission.pl The app has been designed for the Malopolska Film Region Project and has been co-financed by the European Union as a part of The Regional Operational Program 2007-2013 ERDF.
